Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the Customer) and R & K Home Transport, LLC regarding the provision of our residential moving, loading, and home transport services.

1. Provision of Transport Services

R & K Home Transport, LLC agrees to perform moving and transport services as described in your written quote, booking confirmation, or signed service agreement. We retain discretion over crew assignment, equipment, routing, and operational methods needed to complete the move safely and efficiently, provided such decisions align with the agreed scope of work.

2. Scheduling, Access, and Customer Cooperation

Quoted timelines depend on accurate information you provide about inventory, addresses, and site access. Delays caused by incomplete details, restricted building access, unavailable elevators, weather events outside our control, or your failure to be ready at the scheduled time may adjust start times or extend the job without penalty to R & K Home Transport, LLC. Additional labor or trip charges may apply when circumstances differ materially from what was quoted.

3. Payment Terms

The customer agrees to pay fees according to the accepted quote or contract, including any deposits, balance due on completion, or charges for added services approved on site. Fees cover R & K Home Transport, LLC labor, transport, and related services—not third-party storage, permits, tolls, or packing materials unless explicitly included in writing. We do not advance funds on behalf of customers for third-party costs.

4. Cancellations and Changes

Rescheduling or cancellation policies stated in your quote or confirmation apply to your booking. Late cancellations or same-day changes may incur fees to cover reserved crew and equipment time. Upon completion of services and payment of outstanding balances, any move-related documentation we maintain for your job is handled per our privacy policy and retention practices.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, R & K Home Transport, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from our services, including delays, loss of use, or business interruption. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim relating directly to services rendered shall not exceed the total transport fees paid by the customer to R & K Home Transport, LLC for that specific move during the sixty-day period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, except where a higher limit is required by applicable law or a separate written valuation option is purchased.
